About Alison
Diploma in hand from the Walkter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Commuinitcations in 2003, I accepted a job as an account coordinator with HMA Public Relations in early 2004, and have been here ever since.
Today, as a senior account executive, I focus on providing client management, digital communications, business development, online content management, strategic media relations, client relations, promotional marketing, creative writing, crisis communications, event planning and issues management – and then I get my morning coffee.
An active member of the local, regional and national chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), I have served and continue to serve in volunteer leadsership positions and committees each year. In addition, I currently serve on the executive committee and as secretary of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter, where I also help plan the organization’s annual Rocky Mountain Emmy Awards Gala.
I also serve as a founding member of Suns Charities 88 and as a board member for Subway Kids & Sports of Arizona. In my spare time, I assist the Arizona Institute for Breast Health on its various critical fundraising initiatives, plan cruises and live for Shark Week.
While at HMA, my team and I have been honored for our work by PRSA Phoenix, IABC Phoenix, Bulldog Reporter, The Public Relations Global Network, the Arizona Festivals and Events Assocoation, the American Marketing Association and many more. In 2013, I was both named one of the top six “Women to Watch” in Arizona commmunications and was inducted into my high school hall of fame, resptively. In 2012, I was lucky enough to be named by Arizona Business Magazine as one of the “Five Most Influential Women in Arizona Business Under 35.”
At my core, I will always be a passionate writer, which led me into freelance writing in my spare time for pretty much every single one of the 500+ print and online media outlets in Arizona.
